Masonic Ball at Te Kopuru is Great Success
Effective Decorations of Blue and White ANNUAL FUNCTION Te Kopuru’s annual Masonic Ball is always looked forward to as one of the big events of the year by the dance-loving public of the Northern Wairoa district. Last Friday evening’s function, held in the Coronation Hall, was in no way less successful than those of previous years. l Masonic blue and white streamers i , charmingly* blended, created an appro- j priate overhead effect, falling as they i ■ did from the centre of the ceiling to all sides of the hall. Sprays of arti- . ficial blue and white clematis and fes- ! toons of lycapodium, with branches of palm, were arranged as a background. . A beautifully executed Masonic emblem held pride of place in the decorative scheme. The walls were set off in broad panels of white, relieved with latticed blue strands. Greenery : decorated the dias upon which the orchestra was placed, and about the stag© was a pleasing setting of nikau palm and native fern. Intermingling i effectively among the decorations were myriads of coloured electric lights. Music was supplied by Mrs. A. C.
