impressed with north
SOUTHERN VISITORS PRAISE (From Our Own Correspondent) DARGAVILLE, Monday. The National Dairy Association delegates who visited the district during the week-end were enthusiastic in their praise of the North. Among others, Mr. Thos. Moss, of Wairarapa, a member of the executive of the association, said that he had been greatly impressed by the great potentialities of the North Auckland district. He was sure that some of the young men from the South would shortly be looking for property up here. Mr. W. H. Southcombe said all of the delegates had been agreeably surprised; in fact, they had been astounded at the wonderful possibilities of the North. Some of the party caught the outgoing boat last evening, and those who remained were accommodated in cars from the Ruawai district this morning and motored through the districts on the eastern side of the Northern Wairoa River. Morning tea was dispensed at Ruawai by the Ruawai brand i of the Plunket Society, following which the party was conveyed to Maungaturoto to join the Southbound express.
