Baronetcies.—Mr. Henry Bucknall Betterton, late Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Labour; Sir Alfred Butt, the theatrical producer; Mr. Geoffrey Fry, private secretary to the ex-Prime Minister. A dozen knighthoods have also been conferred for public, political or philanthropic services. An M.B.E. is conferred on Miss Aileen Feilding, personal secretary to Mr. L. S. Amery, formerly Secretary of State for the Dominions. The list of honours conferred by tbe King when the Government resigned included a barony for.
