Immediately after the retirement of Inspector Wensley was announced the Chicago police authorities cabled offering him a post in an advisory capacity, with a view to a strenuous effort to clear Chicago of gangs of murderers and thieves. Inspector Wensley is awaiting the arrival of the agent who is bringing details of the offer.
