FINED FOR SHOOTING HEN PHEASANT LOSES WALLET OF NOTES (From Our Own Correspondent) HUNTLY, Friday. Bad luck dogs William George Burrett, land salesman, of Otahuhu. On May 1, while he was out shooting, he lost his wallet of notes and hi?> shooting licence. Yesterday he appeared in the Huntl;Police Court charged with shooting a hen pheasant. Evidence was given by ATessrs. Arthur Harlock. president of the Rod and Gun Club. George Rayner and Clarrie Smith, that they were shooting on Lake W hangup** when a wounded hen pheasant fell into the lake after a shot from the vicinity of where Burrett was shooting and looking for his lost wallet. Defendant, who did not appear, was fined £3 and £2 12s 3d costs.
