CONDITION SERIOUS
VICTIM OF COLLISION COMPANION IMPROVED The young man, Mr. Frederick Calpin, aged 20, who received a fracture of the skull in the car collision at Grey Lynn early yesterday afternoon, is still in a very serious condition. Mr. Calpin, who lives at 17 Martin Avenue, Mount Albert, was travelling in a ear with a companion, Mr. Arthur W. Herring; aged 19, of 7 Challinor Crescent, Mount Albert, when a heavier sedan car crashed into their vehicle at the Dryden Street-William-son Avenue intersection. The two occupants of the other car escaped serious hurt. From the Auckland Hospital this afternoon, it was stated that Mr. Herring’s condition was improved,
