PETTY THEFTS

RAIDS IN REMUERA SEVERAL HOMES ENTERED Several residences in Remuera were raided yesterday afternoon. A resident of Portland Road stated this morning as he was leaving his house after lunch he saw three youths loitering about in the street. Later in the day, when it was discovered that the house had been broken into, a woman who lives opposite, said that she had seen the three youths go into the garden and round to the back of the building. The house in Portland Road had been ransacked thoroughly. Some fruit had been eaten and a £1 note taken from a coat pocket. Other residences in Ingram’s Road, St. Mark’s Road and Lucerne Road were also entered.
