HIGH CLASS TROTTER JT was most unfortunate that, after his high-class exhibition ■ x t , rot t' ng Siven by Young Blake in the Stewards’ Handicap on SatUr l? y ’ , a , Emall section of the pub he should give vent to feelings of disapproval. The outburst was due no doubt to the fact that Tomkinson’s great trotter failed to go away right in the Prince of Wales Handicap, in which he was early pulled up. When raced with pacers, Young Blake has generally shown a disinclination to go with the hoppled brigade in the early stages, but when placed in his own special department, can give a wonderful display of sq uare - gaited locomotion.'
