FARES FOR DOMINION ROAD PROTESTS FROM DISTRICT Tho Transport Board's proposal to divide the Dominion Road tramway extension into two sections, making the fare 6d from the city to the new terminus at Mount Albert Road, was discussed at a meeting of the ’Eden Chamber of Commerce held last evening, and presided over by Mr. 11. ClifTe. It was. decided to write to the Transport Board, protesting against the decision. Mr. J. S. Freer, the secretary, explained that his views expressed in an interview last Friday were his own, and not those of .he chamber. The question of providing additional transport for the Blockhouse Bay district was introduced by Mr. J. Thom and after further discussion :t was agreed to make representations to the board.
