HORSES STILL WANTED
BREED SOCIETY’S REPORT Press Association PALMERSTON N., Wednesdav. At the annual meeting of the Clydesdale Horse Society, the report recorded a successful year. The total membership is 668. The demand for horses has never been better, and prices were good during the year. The chairman said that in 1918 subscriptions had totalled £6l. Todav they amounted to £776. The following officers were electedPresident, Mr. S. Fleming (Crookstown); vice-presidents, South Island, Mr. R. Kennedy (Drummond), and Mr. J. I. Wylie (Sefton) ; North Island. Mr. R. S. Knight (Longburn), and Mr. J W. Harding (Waipukurau). It was decided to ask the Minister of Agriculture to place a Stallions Bill on the Statute Book next session. A grant of £3O is to be made to the Royal Society,
