COLLISION WITH POLE
TWO MOTORISTS INJURED MOTOR LEAVES THE ROAD While travelling along Great South Road from Papakura to Auckland, near Papatoetoe, last evening, a threeseater motor-car owned by Mr. Percival Wingrove, of Remuera, and driven by Mr. ~W. F.F Beechey, of Park Road, Auckland, and containing several passengers, ran off the road and down a steep bank, striking an electric power pole with considerable force. The car was extensively damaged, the radiator and mudguards were Mr. Beechej r , was unqonscious, and smashed, and the front wheels buckled, suffered from concussion, abrasions, and shock. Miss Manda la Mauri, aged 23, or 11 Studio Flats, also suffered from shock. Both were sent to the Auckland Hospital. Mr. Pe.rcival Wingrove, of Remuera, and Miss Veronica Stewart, of 11 Studio Flats, passengers in the car, escaped injury.
