PRESENTATIONS TO CONSTABLE
FUNCTION AT HUNTLY
During his six years' stay in Huntly Constable G. Robertson has made lumself verv popular with all sections of the community. He has been transferred to Warkworth. and prior to his departure he was met by the chairman of the town board. Mr. E. George. Mr E J Farrell, senior justice of the peace. Mr. E. A. Jones. J.P... coroner, and a number of representative residents. Reference was made to Constable Robertsons fairness toward offenders against the law. and his many other good qualities. Among tlie presentations made were ;i wallet of notes for Mr. Robertson and his wife from the residents of Huntly, an afternoon tea service, and handsomely bound Bibles. Constable J. Leslie, of Ponsonby. will tak** Constable Robertson’s place at Huntly.
