DANCE FOR CARNIVAL FUNDS
HAMILTON WEST QUEEN The Regent Ballroom, Hamilton, was arranged as the main deck of an ocean liner for the jolly dance held to raise funds for the Hamilton West Queen, Mrs. F. Pinfold. Streamers and novelty hats were distributed. The “lucky hat” competition was won by Mrs. M. lioulden and Mr. Sutcliffe. Among those present were: Mrs. Pinfold, in a nasturtium coloured frock of embroidered tulle. Mrs. Farquhar, who wore black lace and georgette. Mrs. J. Standon, wearing ivory georgette with gracefully dipping hem. Mrs. Hemus. who wore a black frilled georgette frock with a geranium shawl. Mrs. A. Sims, in black taffeta. Mrs. H. Ferguson, whose smart frock was of floral tissue and briar rose georgette. Mrs. L. Barton, who was in a picture frock of black taffeta. Mrs. Varney, whose black georgette frock was embossed in silver. Mrs. Penny, in black georgette with crystal embroideries. Houlden, who wore primrose petalled tulle. Mrs. G. Gower, in absinthe green taffeta. Miss J. Moule, in embroidered gold georgette. BEADED FROCK Miss L. White, whose black georgette frock was embroidered with beads. Miss N. Brown, in goblin blue chenille embossed georgette. Miss M. Hinton, in floral chiffon in shades of rose. Miss R. Vickery, who wore cedar rose crepe de chine. Miss P. Penny, in a shell pink crepe de chine frock. Miss I. Andrews, whose primrose satin frock was deeply petalled. Miss J. Thompson, wearing black satin charmeuse. Miss L. Nicholls, in marigold crepe de chine. Miss B. Vickery* whose ecru lace frock was worn over palest pink. Miss White, wearing black georgette and lace. Miss M. Grace, in a bouffant frock of mimosa yellow tulle.
