GREAT FIND OF COPPER
RICH LODE DISCOVERED IN JAPAN (Australian and X.Z. Press Association) Reed. 11 a.m. TOKYO, Sunday. A Kobe message states that the Furukawa Company’s Ashio mine reports the discovery of a new lode of unparalleled richness, totalling at least 100.000 tons of pure copper. The importance of this lies in the prospects of a revival in copper, which has been greatly depressed since the war boom.
