POLICE WANT INCREASED STRENGTH QUEENSLAND SUGAR-MILLS Reed. 11 a.m. BRISBANE. Today. The Police Journal draws attention to the rumours of threatened racial troubles in the northern sugar fields, and urges increased police strength. The Australian Workers’ Union agreement with the mills, limiting the nnmher of foreigners employed, is the Genesis of the unrest.
