MEDAL FOR PILOT BRAIN
KING APPROVES AWARD OF AIR FORCE CROSS DISTINGUISHED SERVICES (United P.A.—By Telegraph — Copyright) (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) (United Service) Reed. 11 a.m. LONDON, Friday. The King has approved the award of the Air Force Cross to Leslie Joseph Brain, in recognition of the distinguished services rendered to aviation by his recent flights in the Northern Territory of Australia, in search of missing aviators. It was Pilot Brain who discovered the Australian airmen, Flight-Lieu-tenant Moir and Flying-Officer Owen, who recently were missing for ten days.
