MOTORIST BADLY HURT

COLLISION NEAR HASTINGS DOG KILLED IN CRASH ■ Press Association HASTINGS, Today. A collision between two motor-cars driven respectively by Mr. Sim Land, of Havelock North, and Mr. A. F. M. Symes, of Longlands, a well known sheep farmer, occurred last evening at the Pukahu-Longlands intersection on the main Palmerston North Road. Mr. Land’s car appears to have struck the other in the middle, resulting in Mr. Symes being seriously injured. He lies in hospital in a critical condition. A dog on Mr. Symeo’s running-board was killed. Mr. Land escaped with a bad shaking and a few bruises.
