Old Girls' Dance

FULL SUCCESS ATTENDS HAMILTON FUNCTION. j

MANY GUESTS ENTERTAINED The old girls of the Hamilton High School held their annual dance last evening. The hall of the school, decorated with bowls of autumn leaves, was used for dancing, and the big double class room was arranged for supper. Masses of scarlet salvias made gay colour on the tables.

Excellent music was provided by the Regent Orchestra. The hostesses were Airs. Wilson and Airs. J. Standrin. Mrs. Eben Wilson was in a handsome frock of flowered ring velvet, draped to one side. Airs. J. Standrin wore an attractive frock of ivory georgette made with tiny frills. AMONG THOSE PRESENT Airs. R. Conradi was in an orchid taffeta frock. Mrs. 1\ Nelson chose a deep jade georgette and brocade frock. Airs. L. Barton was wearing a picture frock of black taffeta. Airs. V 7. Tanner had on a frock of sequined pink georgette. Mrs. Farquhar was in a pretty frock of daffodil taffeta. Mrs. A. Sims chose a bouffant black taffeta frock. Miss G. Hodgson wore a nile green taffeta frock banded in peach georgette. Aliss J. Thompson was in pale inauye crepe de chine and lace. Aliss E. Wilkes wore a frock of primrose taffeta, with a cherry sash. Aliss D. Wilkes chose a reseda green frock of taffeta. PEACOCK SKIRT Aliss AL Tombs was in a lemon shaded frock, the bodice of brocade and the peacuck skirt ut tiny georgette frills. Aliss D. Sweeney was wearing a flowered irock of tafieta and georgette, in rose tones.

Aliss Wyatt was in black lace over royal blue. Aliss R. Capper chose a frock of geranium velvet. Aliss L. Rose (Blenheim) was in white embossed georgette and taffeta. Miss J. Masters had a frock of cherry georgette. , , Aliss A. Turley was in burgundy red velvet. Aliss P. Clapham wore powder blue crepe de chine. Aliss Rennie was in black taffeta, with scarlet appliqued flowers. Aliss D. Clapham chose a water-lily green taffeta for her frock. Aliss N. Jackson was in deep salmon satin and georgette. Aliss N. Taylor had a frock of ivory geoi'gette with deep side panels. Aliss L. Storey was in kingfisher blue satin crepe. LACE AND GEORGETTE Aliss I. Taylor, parchment lace frock mounted over amethyst georgette. Aliss B. Taylor was in lime-coloured taffeta and tulle. Aliss A Wilson wore a black georgette fl< Miss K Wilson was in gold taffeta and geoi'gette. Aiiss e>. .ucAaughton was wearing ivory lace over georgette. Aliss Grim wade wore a alack embossed georgette and her net frock over pink. ALiss Keane was wearing a gown of silver lace with a shrimp pink skirt. Aliss D. Stevens was in a deep gold satin crepe frock. Aliss R. Hewetson had liand-painted panels on her ivory georgette frock. Aliss B. Alanning was in parchment lace over apple green. Aliss G. Cleveley wore a mignonette green net frock made with tiny frills. ‘ Aliss L. Kelly chose a frock of pale lavender satin.

Miss L Nicholls was in soft green satin opening- over a petalled lace skirt.
