BRIDE IN BLUE

PASTEL GREEN GOWN WORN BY ATTENDANT SWIFT—GRIFFITHS Fop her pretty wedding to John, the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Swift, of Grey Lynn, which was quietly celebrated at St. Matthew’s Church on Thursday evening, Rosetta, the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Griffiths, of Northcote, chose a dainty blue gown. Crepe de chine was used to express its simple charm, and the blue was softly relieved with pale beige. Made with a pleated skirt, the frock had a plain bodice, and with it, the bride, who was given away by her father, wore a becoming picture hat of matching tone. She carried a shower of rose coloured flowers. The Rev. Grant Cowen conducted the service, and Mr. H. Swift attended as best man. Miss Ivy Griffiths made a dainty bridesmaid in her frock of willow green crepe de chine, fashioned with an effectively flared skirt. She also wore a picture hat and her bouquet was of orange flowers. At a reception held later in the Penrith tearooms, Mrs. Griffiths wore a smart gown of white satin flounced with black to receive her guests. Iceland poppies and autumn leaves made pretty decoration.
