BRIDE AND GROOM HONOURED AT PARTY GIVEN BY BIBLE CLASS
PRESENTATION MADE The members of the Papakura Presbyterian Bible Classes assembled in a large number in the Presbyterian Hall on Thursday evening in honour of Miss A. Campbell, one of their members and Mr. T. Dunckley, who are shortly to be married. Mr. Royston Garlick, leader of the class, in making a small presentation, said Miss Campbell was one of the very faithful members of the Presbyterian Bible Class and the members of the class appreciated the quiet services she had given. In recognition of their love and esteem he asked Miss Campbell and Mr. Dunckley to accept a two-tier silver-mounted Royal Doulton cake-stand. Mr. A. Hammond, on behalf of the Session and Church Managers, paid tribute to Miss Campbell’s splendid services. Apologies were received from Mr. E. D. McLennan and the Rev. R. R. Greenwood. Items were given during the evening by Miss G. Stewart, Miss Hilda Beams and Mr. T. C. Seaton.
