MOVIES MOST POPULAR WITH ALL AGES

The history of drama is almost as old as the history of mankind. Many of the Roman and Greek plays are performed even at the present day, and certainly many of their plots have been modernised and used on our own stages. According to historians, the earliest date to which the inception of the Greek dramas can be ascribed is B.C. 600. Roman tragedies did not appear until later, about B.C. 364. The early English mystery, miracle and morality plays date back to A.D. 1000. The most modern of all dramatic entertainments is the motion picture, and it is also the most popular of all ages. It is computed that over 200,000,000 patrons attend picture shows all over the world weekly, and yet the first successful experiments with motion pictures were not made until ISSS.
