TIVOLI AND EVERYBODY’S
“THE WEDDING MARCH” One of the most important motion pictures of the season is now at the Tivoli and Everbody’s Theatre, where Paramount’s special production, “The Wedding March,” has commenced an engagement which will probably prove all too short to accommodate the crowds which will wish to see it. For the picture, in all its aspects is remarkable. It is
gorgeous and spectacular in parts; it is produced with all the old-time Von Stroheim realism and attention to detail: it has a story of unusual scope and power; and it presents an exceptional cast, which is headed by the dashing Von Stroheim himself.
“The Wedding March” tells the story of “Prince Nicki,” who is a lieutenant in Emperor Franz Josef’s famous cavalry regiment, the Life Guard Mounted; and the action takes place in and near Vienna in the hectic days just preceding the outbreak of the World War.
The beautiful actress, Fay Wraj% has an important role as the most frequent recipient of Prince NTicki’s effections, while George Fawcett, Zasu Pitts and others of note are in the cast.
Finally at both theatres there is a brightly-varied supporting programme headed by an unusual TJ.F.A. nature study, “Secrets of the Deep.”
Colleen Moore has started upon her next First National Vitaphone starring: vehicle, “When Irish Eyes Are Smiling:." This picture, which. will be an all-talking and singing Vitaphone special, provides an appropriate talking debut for the charming little star.
