CRASHED 60 FEET
CAR FALLS OVER BANK OCCUPANTS’ MINOR INJURIES (Special to THE BUHJ TAIHAPE, Friday. j A party of golfers, Mrs. J. Ormond, j Mrs. M. Paul, Mr. D. J. O’Neill, Mr. J. Mortland and Master J. O’Neill, were : returning from the Raukura golf links in a sedan motor-car when it collided at a bend with another car. The sedan left the road and crashed 60 feet before being stopped by a tree. Mrs. Ormond reecived slight head injuries and abrasions, Mrs. Paul was j admitted to a private hospital sufferI ing from severe shock, bruises and : lacerations, Mr. Mortland was injured ! in the shoulder and wrist and had to receive medical attention, and Mr. i O’Neill and his son escaped with minor
j abrasions. i The car was not badly damaged, and an attempt was made this morning to ! retrieve it. It had almost been hauled I up on to the road again, when one of j the ropes broke. The car plunged | back down the bank and was further | damaged. This afternoon, however, i it was brought back to Taihape.
