HOOVER THREATENED
MAN SEIZED IN WHITE HOUSE
INCRIMINATING LETTERS (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) WASHINGTON, Thursday. Secret Service officials to-day seized a mau who was attempting to force his way into the office of President Hoover. He had threatening letters on his person, similar to those recently received by the President. This is the second attempt to reach Mr. Hoover since he entered the White House. A few weeks ago a neatly dressed man, who was not challenged by the police guard at the mansion, entered the dining room where the President was alone. The President talked with him until a guard came and ushered him out. Extraordinary precautions are being taken to prevent a repetition of these occurrences.
