FOR GISBORNE RUN
LATE OWNERS’ PLANS Sale negotiations being completed yesterday, the Gisborne Saeepfarmers* Frozen Meat Company to-day took over the motor-ship Margaret W. from her late owner and masetr, Captain A F. Watchlin. the purchase price not being announced. It is Captain Watchlin's intention to replace the Margaret W. with a larger vessel for the intercolonial trade. The Gisborne Sheeptarmers have purchased the vessel to replace Tfr» Tiroa and the Elsie Mary, which foundered near the Alderman Islands on March 18. Clark, her mate Mr. McDonald, aad her chief eagiaeer Mr. Graham. lue Tirca, ■which has been engaged on the Aueklaad-Gisborae run for 12 years, will he placed ia charge of taia Owen. She will be used ia the Ssy trade, with Gmoome aa her port. Captain Watchlin, who had the MarSnret W. engaged in cargo service between Australia aad New Zealand, proposes to secure a bigger -vessel for the trade, but as yet his plans are not definite. He hopes to have his arrangements completed ia the near furore.
