ROYAL RESEARCH SHIP
DUKE AND DUCHESS TO VISIT DISCOVERY MAWSON’S EXPEDITION British Official Wireless Reed. 10.32 a.m. RUGBY, Wed. The Dominions Office announces that the Duke and Duchess of York will pay a visit of inspection to the Royal research ship Discovery, which is at present lying at the West India Docks, on the afternoon of May 2 Their Royal Highnesses will he conducted over the ship by Sir Douglas Mawson, leader of the expedition to the Antarctic, for which the Discovery is now being reconditioned. Mr. L. S. Amery, Dominions Secretary, the High Commissioner for Australia (Sir Granville Ryrie), and a representative of the High Commissioner for New Zealand (Sir James Parr) will be present.
