GOOD SERVICES RECOGNISED
CEREMONY AT MORRINSVILLE (From Our Own Correspondent) MORRINSVILLE, Tuesday. There was a large attendance at the official opening of the Coghill gates on the Morrinsville Recreation Ground on Saturday. , , For years Mr. D. Coghill has superintended the planting of reserves and parks in the borough. The gates have been erected to commemorate his pub-lic-spirited work. The Mayor, Mr. W. McPherson, in declaring the gates open, said Mr. Coghill’s work had been entirely gratuitous, his * reward was his pleasure in the work. The chairman of the Beautifying Society, Mr. W. C. Cargill, also addressed the meeting. Mr. Coghill was also presented with a case of pipes, tobacco pouch, and smoker’s outfit as a memento of the occasion.
