ASSISTANT MISSIONER

WELCOME FROM METHODISTS In the Town Hall concert chamber last evening a welcome was given to the Bev. Leonard Horwood, who has been appointed assistant-city missioner (Methodist) under the Bev. C. G. fcscrimgeour. The district Methodist chairman, the Bev. E. Drake, welcomed Mr. Horwood and said that his appointment had been made possible by the generosity of a member of the oYiurch. who had offered to find the living for an assistant as he realised that Mr. Scrimgeour needed help in the work that he was doing. Mr. Horwood thanked those who had welcomed him, and musical items were given by the following. Miss Hewson, Miss Berry. Miss Moselen, Miss Beta McCullay, the Rev. Mitchell, the Rev. K. T. Olds. Mr. Chas, Valentine, Mr. D. Corringham, Mr. Reginald Smith, Mr. Bert Watson and Mr. Neville Carlsen.
