PIANO STUDENTS

FORTNIGHTLY MEETING The fortnightly meeting of the Auckland Piano Students’ Association was held last evening in Lewis Eady Buildings. Mr. Roy Collins contributed an interesting paper on “Grieg’s Life.” Practical items included the A Minor Concerto (Misses M. Hewson and L D. Binns), Poetical Tone Pictures (Miss W. Cleave), Lyric Suite (Miss A. Walker), and a duo “Butterflies,’ by Miss J. M. Parker and Mr. Ellis Vipond. Arrangements for the first guest evening were discussed and the society’s badges in silver and blue enamel were distributed. A series of competitions will be held during the winter session.
