Tlie grey skies of the morning were reflected in the dressing at Avondale to-day, when the local jockey club concluded its meeting. Tailored suits were mostly worn, with smart furs and snugly-fitting hats of felt, but many pretty ensembles in cloths and silken stuffs also appeared. Among those present were: Mrs. Dona'll McLeod, steel and silver grey striped jersey suit under black coat, with black hat. Mrs. A. Davis, beige ensemble with striped jumper and small hat to tone. Mrs. Philson, navy blue satin ensemble over figured frock, and navy hat. Mrs. C. Reid, navy blue tailored suit and brown felt hat. Airs. A. J. Farquhar, navy blue frock, with black fur coat and royal blue hat. Mrs. J. D. Jones, mist blue frock under brown fur coat, and hat of deep blue velMrs.N. Burton, wine red ensemble with hat to match. Mrs. Donald Gorrie, tailored suit of tweeds and hat to tone. Mrs. McGregor Grant, cyclamen coloured coat over frock to tone, and felt hat. Mrs. Wallnutt, black cloth suit and black hat. Miss L. Atkinson, fawn tweed suit and felt hat. Miss I. Foote, lacquer red satin coat 1 and pastel rose hat. Mrs. Shank, black coat relieved with rose, and brown hat. Mrs. Pezaif o, black ensemble suit and black hat to tone. Mrs. Darby, navy blue ensemble suit, with hat to tone. Mrs. McManemin, brown fur coat over fawn frock and small fawn felt hat. Mrs. F. Newell, beige and blue ensemble and felt hat to tone. Mrs. Herriott, cedar rose tweed suit and felt hat to tone. Mrs. K. Burcher, honey beige tweed suit and rose hat. Miss Molly Mitchelson. tan coat of diagonal tweed and navy blue hat.. Mrs. W. Blaikie, mole coloured suit and black and white hat. Mrs. Swanston, grey tailored suit and red coat. Mrs. Gunsqn, russet ensemble suit and fawn hat. Mrs. Parris, black frock and coat and black hat. Mrs. Boucher, navy blue coat relieved with fawn, and navy hat. Mrs. McDonald, black ensemble with grey furs and black hat. Mrs. Lyons, fawn tweed suit and brown felt hat. Mrs. Hanley, black tailored suit with white relief and black hat with black and white band. Miss Nolan, russet-shaded suit of tweeds, and hat and furs to tone. Mrs. Hitchings, powder blue and fawn jersey suit, and blue hat. Miss D. Farquhar, claret-coloured ensemble with mole furs and black hat. Mrs. Graham, navy blue ensemble, with lime coat and navy hat. Mrs.. Milsom, rose jumper suit with grey coat and black hat. Miss Cuff, navy blue frock, with gold embroidery, and navy hat. Mrs. Carl Prime, russet coloured tweed coat over oyster suit, and claret hat. Mrs. P. Bailey, white frock of kasha, with blue relief, and black hat. Mrs F. Wright, cedarwood suit of tweeds, and hat to tone. Mrs. Atkinson, tweed suit with felt haj. to tone. Mrs. Chilwell, black cloth coat and skirt and black hat. Mrs. Horton, powder blue coat and cyclamen hat. Mrs. White Parsons, navy blue taiileur, and navy hat.
