SALESMAN CHARGED
TOOK A VACUUM CLEANER ADMITTED TO PROBATION Charged with stealing a vacuumcleaner, valued at £lB, the property of the Eureka Vacuum Cleaning Company, Oscar Stephen Thyne, a salesman, aged 24, came up for sentence at the Police Court this morning. Thyne had taken the cleaner out without signing for it, and sold it :o another dealer for £7. It was stated there was nothing against him in the past. He had. got slightly behind in his board, which had caused him to do this. Mr. F. K. Hunt said in view of the young man’s character he would give him a chance. “He will be placed on probation for 12 months,” said Mr. Hunt. “He is also ordered to make restitution of £7.”
