HOWICK PRESENTATION
FAREWELL TO FATHER DOWNEY On 'Monday evening the Howick parishioners of Father Downey met to say good-bye to him and to present him fedth a cheque before his departure to Ireland for a holiday. The presentation was made by Mr. Strong, who wished Father Downey a pleasant journey and a speedy return. During his two years at Howick Father Downey has taken a keen interest in the sports and outdoor amusements of the districts, and has made himself very popular among his parishioners.
