STATE REFUSES TO BUY PRIVATE PURCHASER LIKELY (Special to THE SUN) WHANGAREI, To-day. The Government has declined the invitation of the Whangarei Hospital Board to purchase Kamo Springs and the board decided yesterday to advertise the springs for sale. Opinions have been strongly expressed that the springs are a. national asset desiring development as a spa, but the board feels that it has; no funds for this development. When the matter was under consideration by representatives of the public bodies some time ago the Mayor. Mr. L J. Brake, said it should not pass out of public ownership into private hands.
