“HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS”

GEORGE WALLACE REVIVAL George Wallace and his company now have only to play for another week to break the Auckland record. This evening they will give their 121st performance and will mark the occasion by presenting, by special request, a revival of one of their earlier triumphs.

“His Royal Highness” is a complete revue, mostly written by George himself, dealing, with the somewhat improbable adventures of one Tommy Dodds, a New Yorker, who is mistaken for the King of Betonia, who has been abducted from his kingdom. The unfortunate Tommy—George Wallace, of course—is shipped with care to his kingdom where completely unsuccessful attempts are made to teach him tho etiquette necessary in the best Royal circles.

George Wallace has a splendid time, fooling about in this part and the climax in which he is seen selling hot pies from his own motor-pie-cart, while dressed in the most correct morning wear, is typical him. The show is well supported by the other members of the company and is one well worth seeing.
