GRAND AND LYRIC
“RILEY THE COP” Tho amusing comedy, “Riley the Cop,” starring Farrell McDonald, is now at the Lyric and Grand Theatres. Riley is a kind-hearted man much loved by those on his beat, and instead of causing trouble he does his best to help others, at the. risk of losing his position. David Rollins and Nancy Drexel take the parts of two lovers, who are particular favourites of Riley, and when the boy is accused of theft Riley is detailed to arrest him in Germany, where he has gone to search for his sweetheart. Louise Fazenda, who supports Farrell Macdonald, is a very clever comedy actress, and in this picture she shows to the best advantage in the ale-houses in Germany,, where she and Riley fall in love with each other and become intoxicated. “Romance of the Underword,” the second featui'e. is an unusually exciting picture which stars Mary Astor and Ben Bard. _
