CITY ORGAN RECITAL
SPECIAL EASTEP PROGRAMME The city organist, Mr. Maughan Barnett, gave a special Easter programme at the Town Hall last evening. Four of Bach’s Easter chorale preludes were played. Mailly’s “Easter Lilies,” a Scherzo and Toccata by Gigout. “Minuet.” by Boccherin, and Bendel’s “Wild Rose.” The programme was concluded by Mendelssohn’s “First Sonata,” a fine meditation on the “Christe Redemptor Omnium,” and the magnificent “Hallelujah Chorus.”
