BIBLE TRAINING

INSTITUTE’S WORK The secretary’s report, presented to the monthly meeting of the directors of the New Zealand Bible Training Institute on Tuesday evening, showed that the enrolment at the opening of the session was 59 resident students — 30 men and 29 women—and three outstudents.

Each week an average of 15 church services were conducted by students, 25 Sunday school classes, 15 Bible classes, 6 open-air services., and three factory services. Parties of students had also visited the hospital. Mr. W. Moir, of Dunedin, a 1926 graduate of the institute, was sailing for missionary work in Paraguay, and Mr. and Mrs. G. R. Turner, of Auckland, 1927 graduates, were sailing for the Argentine on April 13. Mr. A. M. Johnston, the evangelist of the extension department, was conducting a three weeks’ mission in the Baptist Tabernacle, and would commence a mission at Grange Road Baptist Church on April 7, and another at St. Stephen’s Presbyterian Church on April 28. The three Bible correspondence courses, Biblical, doctrinal, and practical, were now in the institute, and quite a number of rew students had been enrolled.
