NON-STOP DANCING

EXHIBITION IN SCOTS HALL The public will have the opportunity of witnessing a unique endurance contest at Scots’ Hall next week, when an attempt will be made by Mr. Bert Nicholl to make a non-stop dancing record. Bert Nicholl holds the world’s record of 101 hours for non-stop endurance dancing, established in Christchurch last February. He is recently of J. C. Williamson’s theatres, being a well known exhibition dancer in Australia. Now this wonder dancer is out to break tho world's record by dancing for 105 hours without rest. Mr. Nicholl will be partnered by six Auckland girls, who will dance in relays of two hours each with him before enjoying a 12-hour rest. A committee of Auckland citizens will be officiating, never leaving the dancer alone, to certify that the attempt is genuine. To succeed in breaking the record, Bert Nicholl must not cease dancing from 2 p.m. next Tuesday until 11 p.m. the following Saturday night.
