MOTORISTS’ MONEY THROWN AWAY PUKEKOHE COMPLAINT I Special to TIIE SUN) PUKEKOHE, To-day. Claiming that the Bombay Hills deviation was an example of co-stly work done as unemployment relief and paid for by motorists, the committee of the Franklin Agency of the Auckland Automobile Association, which met last evening, resolved to forward a resolution to the council of the association suggesting that motorists’ money should not be spent on relief work unless the work was done in an efficient and economical way. The committee also resolved to urge on the Government that two motorists’ representatives be appointed to the Korth Island Main Highways Board. That the nationalisation of highways should be considered as a solution of the unsatisfactory position existing with regard to highways in various counties was suggested and it was decided to send on the suggestion to the council. Speakers said that counties which had once refused nationalisation might now welcome it*
