THREE MEN INJURED Three accidents involving men workI ing on steamers at the Auckland I wharves occurred yesterday, but none ' was seriously hurt. 1 A fireman, George Cruise, aged 48. \ had a leg injured when he was struck ; by some machinery on the Aorangi shortly before the vessel sailed. He was taken to the Auckland Hospital, and is reported to be progressing satisfactorily. As a result of being struck by a bale of wool while working in the hold oi the steamer Port Melbourne yesterday afternoon, A. Carlaw, of Holiday Road. Milford, was badly injured on one hand, ten stitches being inserted, lie was treated by the St. John Ambulance and taken to the hospitalG. Haywood, of 8a Burgoyne Street* Newton, who was struck by a sack o wheat on the Waipiata, received injuries to one ankle, and was taken i the hospital for an X-ray examination.-
