FLOODS ON WEST COAST Press Association WESTPORT, Wednesday. Wash-outs and slips have occurred in various parts of the Buller district as a result of heavy rain yesterday and to-day. The bridge on the Island Creek loop line is in danger of being carried away and blasting operations have been resorted to in order to remove logs which are threatening the oridge. A large wash-out occurred on the railway line near Birchfield, and necessitated a temporary suspension of the railway services.
