PLANES HIT IN MID-AIR
BRITISH OFFICER KILLED COLLISION AT 3,000 FEET British Official 'Wireless RUGBY, Saturday. Flying-Officer Sealy Allin was killed in a mid-air collision between his airplane and another machine at Kenley. The pilot of the other plane, Flightsergeant Freeman, jumped clear with a parachute and landed safely on the roof of one of the hangars at the airdrome. Mr. Allin was found crushed in the wreckage of his machine. The airplanes were carrying out formation exercises over the airdrome at a height of about 3,000 ft when the collision occurred. An hour after the. accident Sergeant Freeman took the ®ir again in another airplane.
