HARVEST FESTIVAL
SERVICES AT ST. JOHN’S Harvest festival services were held a.t the St. John’s Methodist Church, I »onsonby, yesterday morning and evening. The morning service was conducted *by the president of the Methodist Conference, Rev. J. F. Goldie. Two native boys from the Solomon Islands Mission sang at this service in both their own and the English language. In the evening the Rev. A. Mitchell spoke. Miss Laura Stone sang by request, “O Rest in the Lord,” and Mr. Errington sang ‘‘Then Shall the Righteous Shine.” Appropriate anthems and hymns were given by the choir at both services. The offertories for the day totalled £ SO.
