FRATER’S FINE FORM

QINCE the New Year s-tarted the North Shore captain, Bert Frater, has been in great form with the bat, and secured his second century on Saturday. His scores since 1929 began are: 110, 11, 33, 73, 69 and 128, a total of 424 for six innings. The Shore skipper is very aggressive and deals it out severely to anything loose, while he has a solid defence when demanded. His old club mate, Len Elliott, also hit up a swift 156 on Saturday, exactly the same individual total as two seasons ago, when he and Frater broke the bowlers’ hearts at the Shore.
