MANGERE SPEEDWAY

SURFACE IN GOOD ORDER The Mangere speedway, which was inspected by a special committee during the week-end, was found to be in excellent order, but the decision as to when the opening race meeting is to be held was postponed until the track had been inspected by Australian motorists arriving to-morrow by the Maunganui. Several cars were driven round the track, and it was found that the surface is good enough for racing. A little widening yet remains to be done, but all the work necessary will be completed within a week.
