B.M.A. CONFERENCE
NEW ASSOCIATION FORMED Press Association WELLINGTON, To-day. At the annual meeting of the B.M.A. to-day it was decided that the next annual conference would be held at Christchurch. Dr. T. Mill, C.M.G., C.8.E., of Christchurch, was unanimously designated president-elect. Sir Donald McGavin was re-elected chairman. The council for the ensuing year, and the members of the executive committee, were re-elected. An inaugural meeting of the MedicoPsychological Association was held today, the Director-General of Mental Hospitals, Dr. T. Gray, presiding. The following officers were elected: President: Dr. Marshall Macdonald, Dunedin. Vice-presidents: Drs. Fenwick and Gray. General Committee: Drs. John Russell, A. C. McKillop, D. P. Chisholm, and C. IP. Tewsley. Secretary: Dr. H. D. Hayes. The drafting of the constitution, etc., was left to the executive committee. A meeting of New Zealand graduates in Medicine, held in conjunction with the Medical Conference, passed a resolution urging on the Government the immediate necessity of establishing an up-to-date obstetrical hospital adjacent to the Dunedin Hospital, for more efficient midwifery training of the future doctors of the Dominion.
