The caretaker of Rangitoto Island urged the Rangitoto Domain Board, at its meeting last evening, to finish the swimming pool near the wharf. It would be a great attraction for swimmers, and its area would be half an acre,” he said.
Satisfaction was expressed with the roading work in progress at the island, the board members having made a week-end inspection. A proposal to let a contract fpr quarrying stone at 6d a yard royalty, was agreed to, Mr. T. Walsh objecting. Mr. Aldridge, chairman, said the board needed money.
