BIG OFFERING OF SHEEP Press Association FEILDING, Friday. Close upon 20,000 sheep were entered for the Feildins sale to-day. There was a large attendance of buyers. Prices to. fat sheep were down by about 2s a bead, wii H*-' store? were uneven at first. anci the sale dragged. A few pens of lambs sold at probably SS below last weeks values This was accounted for by the drop in the prices offered by expcrteis. However, prices rapidly improved, and bvThe end of the sale were up to prev - out rate?. Stores: Black-faced lambs 16s 9d , “ft- raoe lambs, 20s 10d; shorn ewe lambs to 24s 3d; woolly black-faced lambs’ 20s 6d; aged ewes, los; soundIttontVied ewes 245; good four and fivevear ctves 80s - to 30s Id; fat bullocks, tQ* '£l2 12s 6d; fat cows, £lO 7 s 6d; fat Keefers £lO 10s, about last week s prices. Imre cows, to £5 2s. 6d; other stores at late rates; Hairy springers, £7 to £lO, cows, in milk, £6 10s to £lO.
