HIDES AGAIN EASIER

WELLINGTON VALUES (Prom Our Own Correspondent) WELLINGTON, Friday. The fortnightly sale of skins, hides, etc., was held to-day, when fair catalogues were submitted to a good attendance of buyers. Sheepskins were sold fairly up to last sale s level of values for both dry and salted lots. Ox hides, medium to heavy, about maintained the last sale's level, but light weights and cow hides were again easier, and showed a decline of 3d a lb. Yearlings and calf sold sit about par. Tallow was rather easier in price, although the overseas markets do not show any reason for a decline in values. The range of prices was as follow«: Dry sheepskins, halfbred, 15td; tine crossbred. 12-id to lojd; medium crossbred, 12}d to 14$d: coarse crossbred, 303 d to 123 d; half wools, 9id to 12id; quarter wools. Sid to 12d: pelts, 9id to I2\d. Salted Skins.—Pelts, 3s 6d to 5s Sd; quarter wools. 3s Sd to 6s 3d; half wools, 5s 3d to 6s lOd; three-quarter wools, 9.5; full wools, 9s to Us 9d; extra large, 11s 10d to 12s 6d ; lambs, 2s Sd to 5s Bd. Hides. —Ox, 331 b to -141 b. 4id to 7id: 4 51b to 521 b. 7d to S3d: 531 b to 591 b, to 10id; 601 b to 691 b, 10d to 103 d; 701 b and over. 10id to 10id.
