NURSE’S DEATH FOLLOWS ALLEGATIONS AT INQUEST Press Association WELLINGTON, Thursday. An inquest was opened to-day at Porirua Mental Hospital concerning death of a nurse, Edith Mary Payntor, from the bursting of a blood vessel in her head, some weeks after an attack by one of the patients. Medical evidence was to the effect that death was inevitable owing to an aneurism. Allegations were made that the deceased, who was ill for some time, was neglected by the responsible parties. The inquest will be resumed to-morrow.
